Asia Pacific Brings Virtual Showroom to Customers

(Ver en español)

For all the difficulty and challenges COVID-19 has brought to the world, it has also rapidly made us more aware of growth areas and new opportunities. It’s forced us to reimagine the ways we do business with each other at an unprecedented pace. S&C had already been increasing virtual opportunities for customers, but the pandemic kicked it into high gear in our Asia Pacific business unit.

“In recent years, our customers have been gravitating towards more in-depth virtual interaction with our products,” explains VP—Asia Pacific Jason Lander. “The COVID-19 crisis has only accelerated this trend. Not only are we under pressure to enable virtual experiences for customers, but the scope of these experiences is deepening, and the propensity for virtual interactions is likely to continue even after the crisis ends.”

To meet this need, Asia Pacific’s team⸺led by Manager Hoang Vu and driven by the local PSS, Application, and Marketing team members⸺spent the spring and early summer working on the Virtual Network Innovation Centre (VNIC). This is a virtual showroom, much like our physical product demonstration centers, that leverages technologies such as augmented reality, virtual reality, event design, and 3D animations to deliver interactive content across all platforms. Users can move through the virtual space and look at models of our products, integrated with information and videos. Simply put, it brings the showroom to you, wherever you are.

Improving and investing in virtual technologies allows S&C to connect with our customers in richer, more meaningful ways. Creating immersive experiences for customers is just one way that S&C is persevering through this pandemic and looking to the future.
