S&C Alduti-Rupter Switches are ideally suited for line-switching, transformer-switching, and cable-switching duties.

Alduti-Rupter Switches are available in three-pole and single-pole versions in voltage ratings through 34.5 kV and current ratings of 600 amperes or 1200 amperes, continuous and interrupting.

Three-Pole Alduti-Rupter Switches

Integral quickmake quick-break mechanism and antifriction bearings are featured in the built-in operating mechanism of the three-pole switches. These switches are furnished as complete units including direct-coupled, chain-coupled, or pipe-coupled handle; interphase barriers; side barriers; and any other operating-mechanism components required by the specifications for any Standard Mounting Arrangement covered in S&C Data Bulletin 783-80.

Standard Mounting Arrangements make it possible to buy and warehouse a quantity of Alduti-Rupter Switches in preferred mounting arrangements, for use in future installations. So at any time, a switch may be withdrawn from stock for immediate installation.

Single-Pole Alduti-Rupter Switches

Hookstick operated single-pole switch are designed for vertical or inverted mounting inside a vault or switchgear when a single-pole load-break disconnect is required.
