About John WalierJohn Walier currently works as an Application Director for S&C’s global grid connectivity business line. He responsible for addressing the communication needs of the power utility industry, from providing initial consulting services to network engineering and design, integration, installation and ongoing support. Mr. Walier is an industry veteran, with over 25 years in the communication systems industry. He is an expert in the wireless industry with broad-based domestic and international credentials in the creation of new revenue streams for world-class telecommunication companies. After graduating from Rochester Institute of Technology in 1984, Mr. Walier’s career began at Microwave Data Systems, promoting a Point-Multipoint SCADA radio to the utility industry. Before joining S&C Electric Company in 2010, Mr. Walier spent a total of 15 years working for communication companies that focused on high capacity Point-to-Point wireless technology covering frequency bands from 2 GHz to 60 GHz and speeds from 10 MBPS to over 1000 MBPS.
