New Bushing for Vista^® Switchgear Conforms to Popular European Standard

S&C is pleased to announce the availability of a new bushing for Vista® Underground Distribution Switchgear. This new bushing conforms to the requirements of the European Standard CENELEC EN 50181, Interface Type C . . . the most widely used interface in the world.

The newly available bushing looks very similar to the normally furnished bushing . . . but there are some obvious differences:

Designed per IEEE Standard 386-1995	Conforms to European Standard CENELEC EN 50181 – Interface Type C
Has a 600-Ampere Continuous Current Rating at ANSI Voltage Classes of 15.5, 27, and 38 kV	Has a 630-Ampere Continuous Current Rating at IEC Voltage Classes of 12, 24, and 36 kV
Features 5/8-11 UNC Internal Threads	Features M16 Internal Threads
Has a wide diameter with deep taper	Has a narrow diameter with shallow taper

The Type C Bushing is currently being offered on all models of Vista Underground Distribution Switchgear.
