New 69-Kv Double-Break Style Alduti-Rupter^® Switch.

S&C is pleased to announce the availability of a 69-kV Three-Pole Double-Break Style Alduti-Rupter Switch, in both upright and tiered-upright mounting configurations. This new model provides an economical option for transmission-line switching and the time-proven reliability of the Double-Break Style Alduti-Rupter Switch.

The 69-kV Alduti-Rupter Switch utilizes a rotating operating mechanism, which may be operated manually or with a Type LS-2 Switch Operator. Operating time with the LS-2 Switch Operator is 2.2 seconds maximum. Various sensor options are also available, including three current sensors combined with one S&C Potential Device, and three current sensors combined with three S&C Potential Devices. When equipped with such sensors, a Type LS-2 Switch Operator, and a 5800 Series Automatic Switch Control, the 69-kV Double-Break Style Alduti-Rupter Switch can provide automated transmission-line switching, including source-transfer capabilities.
