Wanda Reder, S&C Electric Company’s Vice President – Power Systems Services, Appointed President Elect of IEEE Power Engineering Society.
Wanda K. Reder, Vice President of S&C’s Power Systems Services Division, has been appointed President Elect of the IEEE Power Engineering Society. This appointment begins her six-year commitment to providing strong leadership for the IEEE Power Engineering Society and helping shape the future of the electric utility industry. Wanda will be President Elect in 2006 and 2007, President in 2008 and 2009, and Past President in 2010 and 2011. During her tenure, she plans to focus on addressing the industry-wide concern for attracting new technical talent, to help ensure the future of the industry.
Wanda’s career experience working with utilities and utility service providers has uniquely qualified her for this position . . . and helped her develop strong leadership skills. “Being President Elect of the IEEE Power Engineering Society is a great honor,” says Ms. Reder. “I would like to thank everyone who supported my nomination and encouraged me during the campaign. I look forward to serving the IEEE Power Engineering Society and the greater electrical utility industry over the next few years.”
