Expanded Offerings for Vista^® UDS and System VI™ Switchgear.

S&C is pleased to announce two further enhancements to Vista Underground Distribution Switchgear and System VI Switchgear — optional 900-ampere continuous current load-interrupters and fault interrupters, plus optional 1200-ampere main bus. These options are both available in ratings of 15.5, 29, and 38 kV.

S&C is continuously expanding its Metal-Enclosed Switchgear product lines. The original Vista Underground Distribution Switchgear offering was followed by the introduction of 25-KA models, arc-resistant models, manhole models, and power operated models. System VI Switchgear was also developed, combining Vista UDS technology with the versatility of S&C Metal-Enclosed Switchgear.

The new 900-ampere option requires that the 1200-ampere main bus option be specified, the Vista UDS or System VI Switchgear be rated 25-kA, and that cable terminations are capable of carrying 900-amperes.

The 1200-ampere bus option offers several choices for incoming configurations. The first choice, which is applicable to all models, is dual 600-ampere incoming ways with interlocks. The second choice, which requires 900-ampere switches or fault interrupters, is single 900-ampere T-Bodies. The third choice, which requires the System VI design, is air bushings.
