New Trans-Rupter II™ Models for Cold-Temperature Applications.

S&C is pleased to introduce a new version of Trans-Rupter II Model EX rated for application down to -50°C, further broadening the application range for this product. Like all other Trans-Rupter II models, this special-application model provides a much more economical alternative for sophisticated primary-side transformer protection. The new models provide virtually all the benefits of standard Trans-Rupter IIs, including three-phase operation, resettable interrupters, 3-cycle interrupting time, and very low maintenance requirements. And they don’t require heaters.

The new models are available from 69 kV through 138 kV, and carry a 10-kA primary-side fault interrupting rating and a 650-A secondary-side fault interrupting rating.
