Low-Voltage PureWave UPS™ Named a Finalist in CEE News Product of the Year Platinum Award Contest.

PureWave UPS

S&C’s Low-Voltage PureWave UPS System was recently named a finalist in CEE News Product of the Year Platinum Award Contest. This prestigious award showcases the most innovative product of the past year and recognizes those involved with every aspect of development of the product, from concept through sales. To qualify for this award, a product must have been introduced to the market between January 1, 2000, and February 1, 2001. The product must be useful to electrical professionals by providing a means for them to do their jobs more efficiently and effectively.

The Low-Voltage PureWave UPS System, rated 313 to 1250 kVA, was introduced in March 2000. It is an off-line system designed to solve utility disturbances affecting critical loads. The Low-Voltage PureWave UPS provides 30 seconds of protection at full load and up to 60 seconds of protection at partial loads, solving 99% of all power-quality problems. The PureWave UPS System also provides “soft” load transfer to back-up diesel generator systems, for 100% protection through extended outages.

The Low-Voltage PureWave UPS System features a small footprint, and it’s the only standard 3-phase UPS package designed for either outdoor or indoor installation. In addition, the unit is quiet (55 dBA at 6 meters), easily expanded (additional power modules may be added as load increases), and more than 98% energy efficient — the highest in the industry. The maintenance-free batteries are guaranteed for 5 years.

S&C’s family of PureWave UPS Systems covers the broadest spectrum of load sizes in the industry. Contact S&C to find out how PureWave products can solve your power-quality problems.
