Low-Voltage PureWave UPS™ Named a Finalist in Plant Engineering’s 13th Annual Product-of-the-Year Contest.
S&C’s Low-Voltage PureWave UPS System was recently named a finalist in Plant Engineering’s Product-of-the-Year Contest. This designation is recognized as the premier honor for new products in the plant-engineering market. To qualify for this prestigious award, a product must have been available for purchase between October 1, 1999, and September 30, 2000. The product must be new to the world market. And it must be useful in the plant-engineering function.
The Low-Voltage PureWave UPS System, rated 313 to 1250 kVA, was introduced in March 2000. It is an off-line UPS system designed to solve utility power problems affecting critical industrial processes. The Low-Voltage PureWave UPS provides 30 seconds of protection at full load and up to 60 seconds of protection at partial loads, solving 99% of all power-quality problems. The Low Voltage PureWave UPS System also provides “soft” load transfer to back-up diesel generator systems, for 100% protection through extended outages.
The Low Voltage PureWave UPS System features a small footprint, and it’s the only standard 3-phase UPS package designed for either outdoor or indoor installation. In addition, the unit is quiet (55 dBA at 6 meters), easily expanded (additional power modules may be added as load increases), and more than 98% energy efficient — the highest in the industry. The maintenance-free batteries are guaranteed for 5 years.
S&C’s family of PureWave UPS Systems covers the broadest spectrum of load sizes in the industry. Call S&C at 773-338-1000 to find out how PureWave products can solve your power-quality problems.
