Renewable Energy Plant Design and System Interconnection

S&C Electric Company has been actively involved as a leader in integrating renewable energy sources to the grid since the emergence of large wind power plants in North America in the early 2000s. This three-day seminar has been designed to share our expertise in designing and integrating large wind and solar power plants with electrical engineers, technicians, developers, and others involved in the design of renewable power plants. The seminar will include topics such as an introduction to wind turbine generators, photovoltaics, and concentrating solar power technologies, utility interconnection requirements, impacts of wind and solar plants on the utility electrical system, interconnection and collector substation design, collector system design, and reactive power compensation systems.
