Turnkey Projects
S&C can complete projects on a turnkey basis, in which case we take full responsibility for ensuring that all steps are completed in accordance with plans and specifications. A typical turnkey project includes five major steps, each of which is managed, scheduled, and organized by S&C personnel:
- Analytical studies, engineering design, and installation documentation, including drawings, specifications, and bills of material
- Procurement of major equipment such as transformers and cable
- Construction, including site preparation, erection of steel structures, and equipment installation utilizing S&C-supervised subcontractors
- Acceptance and in-service testing of all equipment
- Commissioning, including all steps necessary to transfer the equipment to you, such as appropriate documentation, final test reports, and project as-built drawings
Turnkey projects offer a number of benefits. The “one-stop-shopping” approach helps simplify procurement of equipment, engineering services, and field service. You have just one party with whom to coordinate. Your personnel can continue to be allocated to normal day-to-day responsibilities. And you save money too, since the specification and approval process is often streamlined.
