S&C can perform factory acceptance testing of your distribution automation system to confirm that it performs as intended under realistic scenarios. This testing is performed in our IntelliLAB, located at S&C’s Chicago headquarters.

IntelliLAB is furnished with IntelliRupter PulseCloser Control Groups, 6800 Series Automatic Switch Controls, and IntelliNode™ Interface Modules — any or all of which can be applied to simulate and analyze your particular IntelliTeam SG Automatic System. The testing is performed using software running on the actual control platforms, with a live communication network.

You and your staff will see first-hand how IntelliTeam SG responds. This testing not only serves as a proof-of-concept, but provides invaluable training as well.

Experience has shown that far less effort is required to commission your IntelliTeam SG System when your staff has participated in factory acceptance testing of the system.

S&C can conduct a two-to-three day field visit to your automation project. Our application engineer will ensure that the equipment has been successfully installed and properly configured, as well as provide in-depth training on your IntelliTeam SG Automatic Restoration System or High-Speed Fault-Clearing System for your engineers, operations personnel, and technicians.

S&C engineers can also provide on-site commissioning of the hardware and software to ensure that your automation project start-up goes smoothly.

S&C assigns an application engineer to every IntelliTeam SG Project. That engineer stays with the project through installation and commissioning. The engineer works closely with utility personnel to develop the team configurations and assists with any questions related to team assignment.

S&C offers comprehensive monitoring services to verify that your automation system is working properly. Using remote connectivity, we can monitor and maintain your IntelliTeam SG system and the associated communications network.

Our professionals can remotely evaluate team conditions, analyze any alarms or events, and gauge the health of the controls and communication links. We will notify you of any concerns. If the issue can be addressed through reconfiguration of a control, we can initiate the change from our headquarters.

S&C’s communication experts can specify, install, and configure radios, remote terminal units, terminal servers, and networking equipment . . . from the feeder all the way to our corporate LAN. We can also verify that the radio network has been properly designed and is reliable by performing path analyses and on-site radio surveys.
