Remote Supervisory PMH Pad-Mounted Gear
Construction Detail — Main Compartments
- S&C’s Ultradur finishing system withstands more than 4,000 hours of salt-spray testing . . . compared to industry-standard 1,500 hours.
- Dual-purpose front barriers are standard on all fuse and switch compartments.
- S&C’s Uni-Rupter™ provides the ultimate in single-pole live switching. Just a firm pull on the fuse interrupts the circuit with a quick-break action.
- S&C Voltage Sensors on source switches. Compact sensors provide control power and sensing for the Micro-AT Source-Transfer Control, for a completely self-contained source-transfer solution.
- Viewing window for visual verification of switch position is easily removed for voltage testing or phasing.
- Penta-Latch® Mechanism provides vandal-resistant, automatic, three-point door latching. Uncommonly rugged and fully coordinated with padlocking provisions.
- Optional base spacer increases cable-termination height and cable training space.
- Segregated circuits — steel barriers separate side-by-side compartments; GPO3 barriers separate front/rear compartments and isolate bus.
- Ground studs are standard in all fuse and switch compartments.
- Optional surge arrestors at source-side switch terminals.
- Cypoxy® - S&C’s cycloaliphatic epoxy resin system insulates all live parts from ground.
- S&C Current Sensors (included with optional overcurrent-lockout feature) provide sensing of conditions under which a source transfer should not be performed.
Many other options are available, including:
- Stainless-steel enclosure
- Key-interlock schemes
- Mounting provisions for fault indicators with viewing window in door
- Terminal adapters for two connectors per terminal
- Inner barrier panel — meets Rural Utilities Service “dead-front” requirements
- Cable guides assist in cable training and provide protection against damage from excessive cable or foundation movement
- Other options and custom designs to meet your specific needs.
