Manual PMH Fuse Compartment

Fuse Compartment
  1. S&C’s Uni-Rupter™ provides the ultimate in single-pole live switching. Just a firm pull on the fuse interrupts the circuit with a quick-break action.
  2. Insulated roof guards against formation of condensation that could drip onto energized parts.
  3. S&C’s Ultradur finishing system withstands more than 4,000 hours of salt-spray testing . . . compared to industry-standard 1,500 hours.
  4. Dual-purpose front barriers are standard on all fuse and switch compartments.
  5. Corrosion-resistant non-ferrous door hinges and hinge pins.
  6. Segregated circuits — steel barriers separate side-by-side compartments; GPO3 barriers separate front/rear compartments and isolate bus.
  7. Optional base spacer increases cable-termination height and cable training space.
  8. Ground studs are standard in all fuse and switch compartments.

Manual PMH Switch Compartment

Switch Compartment
  1. Cypoxy® — S&C’s cycloaliphatic epoxy resin system insulates all live parts from ground.
  2. Optional mounting provisions for fault indicators with viewing window in door.
  3. Viewing window for visual verification of switch position is easily removed for voltage testing or phasing.
  4. S&C Mini-Rupter® Switch — the field-proven 600-ampere three-pole group-operated interrupter switch.
  5. Penta-Latch® Mechanism provides vandal-resistant, automatic, three-point door latching. Uncommonly rugged and fully coordinated with padlocking provisions.
  6. Optional terminal adapters for two connectors per terminal.
  7. Optional distribution-class surge arresters at source-side switch terminals.
