Mini-Rupter Switch

S&C Mini-Rupter Switches are field-tested, proven, three-pole group-operated interrupter switches that are ideally suited for the following switching duties on underground distribution circuits:

  • Line switching
  • Transformer switching
  • Cable switching

Mini-Rupter Switches are available in a variety of voltage and current ratings to match the economics and switch duties of the application — from 4.16 kV through 27.6 kV nominal, 600 amperes continuous, and 400 or 600 amperes interrupting. Mini-Rupter Switches are easy to install, with their compact construction and rugged steel mounting-frame weldments.

S&C Mini-Rupter Switches provide maximum operating flexibility through their exceptional fault-closing ability, which permits quick restoration of service following a fault.
