Talon™

Talon is a high-strength, two-pronged fitting designed for use on overhead distribution systems, for installing and removing SMD-20 Power Fuses, Type XS Fuse Cutouts, and Fault Tamer® Fuse Limiters from their mountings. It can also be used to open and close disconnects and interrupter switches.

Talon’s curled prong provides an upward slope that keeps the fuse from sliding off the end of the hookstick (especially “extendo” sticks). The curled prong features a unique straight section that properly orients the fuse during installation in the mounting.

Talon’s straight prong, which is made to the configuration and dimensions set by ANSI for distribution switch sticks, provides a flat surface that is used during fuse-closing operations.
