Handling Tools

Introduction

S&C Handling Tools provide convenient, easy operation of S&C fuses, cutouts, and disconnects, as well as those of other manufacture.

Easy Handling

Each S&C Handling Tool consists of a detachable fitting specifically designed for a particular handling operation, a universal pole, and, in some cases, a pole extension. S&C Handling Tools offer easier engagement, surer grip, and simpler handling motions than conventional tools. And some can perform operations not possible with conventional tools.

Multi-purpose

Each fitting was developed as the ideal solution to a particular handling problem. Yet the user is not necessarily burdened with a “special purpose” tool. Wherever possible, S&C fittings have been designed to at least adequately handle other kinds of equipment. This multi-purpose functionality in no way compromises the primary use of the fitting.

Field-tested

The design of each S&C Handling Tool reflects extensive operating experience. Each has been field-tested to demonstrate that it provides the best means possible for performing a particular task.
