Construction Detail

1. Removable buttonhead permits use of Positrol Fuse Links in cutouts with or without arc-shortening rod.
2. Strain wire restrains static force of cutout flipper spring.
3. Helically coiled fusible element is not subject to mechanical or thermal stresses, or to damage from vibration.
4. Terminals are swaged — not soldered — providing nondamageable element connections, plus permanent grip of strain wire and cable.
5. Swaged cable section prevents splaying of strands and wadding of cable during the interrupting process, ensuring positive withdrawal of cable from sheath.
6. Tinned copper stranded cable resists corrosion, and is of a diameter sized to resist corona.
7. Controlled-burst-strength filament-wound fiberglass sheath for unmatched full-fault-spectrum interrupting performance.
