Installing (or removing) holder using S&C Extra-Large Clamp

Models Rated 4.16 kV and 13.8 kV

Fault Fiter Electronic Power Fuses rated 4.16 kV and 13.8 kV are easily handled using a universal pole equipped with either S&C’s Grappler™ or Extra-Large Clamp.

Grappler is ideally suited for opening and closing Fault Fiter, as well as installing and removing the holder. The Extra-Large Clamp may be used in lieu of Grappler for installing or removing a Fault Fiter holder - particularly when the mounting is located at waist height or higher.

Fault Fiter Electronic Power Fuses in the Disconnect Style must not be opened under load.

Models Rated at 25 kV

Fault Fiter Electronic Power Fuses rated 25 kV may also be opened or closed using Grappler. The holder should be installed or removed from the mounting by hand — but only after the fuse has been de-energized and grounded in accordance with local operating practices.

Fault Fiter Electronic Power Fuses in the Disconnect Style must not be opened under load.
