On October 19, S&C Electric Company was presented a Midwest Energy Leadership Award, at the Great Lakes Symposium on Smart Grid and the New Energy Economy, at the Illinois Institute of Technology. S&C was honored for its role as an “Industry Market Driver.”
Tim Qualheim, Vice President of S&C’s U.S. Business Unit, accepted the award on behalf of the company. He noted that S&C has been a leading innovator of products and services for the electrical industry since the company was founded in 1911, and strives to continue that tradition every day. He pointed out that S&C is providing the “grid part of the smart grid” and is committed to developing solutions to increase grid reliability capacity, and efficiency.
